Vishnu Series

The Vishnu Series is a contemporary reinterpretation of Vishnu’s many forms, exploring how divine archetypes can be expressed through gesture, texture, and essence rather than traditional iconography. Using oil sticks on paper, I work with dense, tactile lines that carry the immediacy of hand-drawn marks and the permanence of inscriptions.

Each figure emerges in a state between presence and abstraction: a reclining deity, a flute-bearing form, a cosmic gesture. These drawings reduce detail while amplifying energy, offering a devotional language that is both timeless and contemporary. In this way, the series seeks to bridge mythology with lived experience, presenting Vishnu not as a distant god but as an enduring force of preservation, play, and cosmic rhythm.
