Prannjali V is a visual artist based in Raipur, India. Her practice explores the boundaries between humans, animals and the natural world through painting, sculpture and mixed-media work. She creates hybrid creatures and unfamiliar forms that question how we understand ourselves in relation to other forms of life.

 

Drawing from nature, animals, mythology and cultural references, Prannjali approaches these subjects as ways of exploring transformation, existence and the connections between seemingly different forms. Her practice is evolving towards a closer engagement with ecological research, particularly questions of how living beings adapt to their environments and how changing landscapes affect the worlds they inhabit.

 

Her journey to an independent art practice has taken her through engineering and corporate marketing before she returned to art as the central focus of her work. In 2020, she co-founded The Orby House, a design-led creative venture that brought together a community of more than 18,000 craft enthusiasts and supported local artisans, particularly women, working in ceramics and craft-based practices. As Co-founder and Creative Director, she worked across creative direction, product development and community building. The venture also deepened her engagement with material, making and the possibilities of collaborative creative practice.

 

Her work has been exhibited in India and internationally, including at the Arte Laguna Prize finalist exhibition in Venice, The Holy Art Gallery in London and World Art Dubai. Her artistic practice continues to expand through experimentation with materials, new environments and research-led projects.
